§ 02 · General
Cross-service questions.
- Q.01
Are you really licensed and insured?
Yes. TDPS Private Security License #B31108601 (verifiable at txdps.state.tx.us. Required by Texas law for camera and access control work). General liability + workers' comp + E&O insurance, $2M coverage. Certificate of insurance available before the truck rolls.
- Q.02
What's your service area?
Headquartered in Lubbock. We run jobs across the South Plains (Lubbock, Plainview, Levelland, Brownfield, Snyder), the Permian Basin (Midland, Odessa, Big Spring), and the Panhandle (Amarillo, Hereford). San Angelo and Abilene as well. Scheduled work coordinated with you in advance.
- Q.03
Are your quotes free? Or do you charge for a site survey?
Free. Always. The 60-minute on-site survey costs you nothing whether you hire us or not, and you walk away with a written report you can use to scope the work. Even if you take it to a different installer. We don't charge for proposals because we don't believe quotes should be a profit center.
- Q.04
How long until the work is scheduled?
Site survey: typically within a week. Fixed-price quote: a couple business days after the survey. Install start: typically 2–4 weeks out depending on equipment lead time and your schedule.
- Q.05
Do you do residential work?
No. We're commercial low-voltage only. Single-family residential work isn't a fit for our crew or our pricing. For home Wi-Fi or smart-home work in West Texas we can refer you to good residential installers we trust.
- Q.06
Will you work alongside our existing IT person or MSP?
Yes. We do this constantly. We handle the physical layer (cable, APs, cameras, racks). Your IT or MSP handles the logical layer (servers, software, identity). We hand them a binder and an IP schedule on day one. No turf wars.
- Q.07
What forms of payment do you accept?
ACH, wire, check, credit card (3% processing fee on cards). Net-30 terms available for established commercial accounts. Larger projects (>$25K) typically run 30/40/30, deposit, mid-job, final on hand-off.
- Q.08
Are you HUB certified for state and municipal work?
Yes. Texas HUB (Historically Underutilized Business) certification is current. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) status as well. Both qualify projects for state, county, and municipal contract preferences.
